Information on the Festival |
| Every winter Mt. Taebaek turns silvery under a blanket
of snow. The snow-covered landscape surrounding the summit
and Baekdudaegan boast their grandiose, unparalleled beauty.
This festival includes a variety of events, attracting
countless tourists who come to enjoy the romance of winter.

| - On the eve of the festival
a number of events are held, including a popular entertainers'
congratulatory performance, gilnori and a nationwide snow
sculpture contest by students majoring in fine arts.
- A national climbing contest, family snowman making
contest, Okung sled riding, a unique experience available
only at Taebaek. |
