Game Details
Originally young people of the two villages would meet in a open space on Mt. Gubong, and engage in a verbal competition. Then the older people suggested that they compete in a show of physical strength, with the best stands of trees going to the winning side. The young people, divided into two groups, would compete against each other in various events such as jumping, standing on one leg, turning, walking, etc., all while carrying an A-frame on their backs. If the winner could not be decided by individual competition, they were divided into two groups to conduct a collective competition using A-frames. The competition came to an end when one side would give in. They would then have to climb to the relatively unfavorable places to collect wood, which was their lot as the losers of the game
