This was the first of the mountains to rise which would in time come to form Baekdudaegan.
It stands 1,259 meters above sea level, making it the highest of the mountains linked to the Nakdong Jeongmaek.
The Nakdong Jeongmaek starts from Samsuryeong(pijae) and stretches to Dadaepo in Pusan. Unlike Gumdaebong peak,
the summit of Baekbyeongsan is formed by stone cliffs. It was named Baekbyeong since it has the appearance of a folding hewn from rock.
It is said that this rock screen appears white when it is dry, but turns black when it rains. As a result, by looking at the changes in color of the stone,
one can tell the weather. The summit rises to a very sharp peak, with a standing space of just three pyeong (1 pyeong = 3,954 sq. yds.).
The best part of this mountain is a rock folding screen; a candle rock and a mago grandmother rock are also famous.
From the summit of Ambong (rock screen) unfolds a panoramic view featuring Taebaek-si and the long sleeve of Baekdudaegan,
embracing Taebaek-si and the complex topography of Baekdudaegan far below.
